It is no secret that 'engagement' has become a household term. Whether you are talking about your customers, your employees, your children or yourself, it is undeniable that we are at a time when it pays dividends to understand what’s common amongst human beings.  Engagement helps us to focus on what we have in common, to look towards solutions rather than getting stuck in the problem or identifying the other person as a problem.

Over the last few weeks, we have been sharing methods and practices that raise awareness and standards of execution with these four engagement skills which have the power to revolutionise the entire profession.

In STEP 1, we covered Seek First to Understand and completed the activity, “Defining Conflict”.

Then, we covered STEP 2 Then Be Understood and completed the activity, “The Four Sides of Communication”.

In week 3, we released STEP 3 – Empathise and completed the activity, “What Is Empathy?”.

In week 4, we released the last video in this series, STEP 4 – Problem Solve WITH the Other Person(from the L.E.A.D. Engagement Module Topic – Motivate Others)

Have you ever tried to motivate someone…and it didn’t work? Sometimes helping others feels like you’re pulling a train uphill through quicksand. No matter how many quotes & peppy words you throw at them, they just stay stuck, unmotivated, and unable to move forward with their projects & goals.

It’s just that motivation is an INTERNAL drive, so all you can ever do is help those around you to find THEIR OWN internal motivation.

In this last video, Rachel shares how to help others find their internal drive with a fool-proof formula for inspiring others along with the activity, “Drivers and Blockers”.
