Long term illness book

Quick question if you have a long term illness and wasnt aware that you were entitle to medication free on the Long Term Illness Scheme as in you have been paying in full the government Levy Charge of  2.50 per item for the past few years  and the Monthly Charge of 25 euro ( cut off  ) for your Medications are  you entitle to be Reimbursed all the  Payments made to your Chemist  in the past  and the 25 euro every Month since the Government levy Charge came into effect hope this dont sound confusing

Hi noreenbawn and welcome to our forum. It is highly likely that you would be entitled to a refund, but the best place to ask will be the HSE and it will depend on your medication as well. Not everything will be covered on the LTI scheme, so you will need to get a printout from your pharmacy of exactly which medication you received during this time and how much you paid. For more details please contact your local health office. Contact details can be found at: https://www.hse.ie/eng/services/list/1/lho/lholist.html
