PCRS will be informing all pharmacies over the next 7 days (either on 20th March 2018 or 27th March 2018) that they must now use the new High-Tech hub for ordering of IVF High-Tech medicines.

ABOUT HIGH-TECH HUB

The High-Tech drugs scheme is administered by the HSE through the Primary Care Reimbursement Service (PCRS).

The idea behind the High-Tech Hub (HTH) is to streamline the process for ordering high-tech drugs via a fully electronic purchasing and stock control system. The aim is to make it a “one-stop-shop” for pharmacies for all high-tech medicine orders.

The HTH will help monitor patient data, track prescriptions and minimise wastage and over-ordering.
